Getting ready for the New Year

We are closed for the season.  We will be re-opening Friday March 4th.  We are preserving soups and sauces out of the fall harvest and will have a great supply when we open.  We will be harvesting spring greens and selling holdovers from the fall harvest such as potatoes, squash and apples, and  we will have some local hothouse items such as tomatoes and cucumbers. Local grass-fed meats, eggs, cheeses, seafood, ice cream, milk and more will all be available at that time as well.   As spring unfolds we will have asparagus, peas, broccoli, rhubarb and on into the season.  We will be selling herb and veggie starts, composts and other garden necessities starting in April.
New this year we will be doing free-range chicken eggs, and grass-fed beef grown on our farm.  Our laying flock will be producing rainbow mixes of fresh eggs, and grown on fresh rotation pasture, kitchen scraps and local grain.   The beef will be grass-fed ground beef,  USDA approved and available in convenient 1 lb packages.
Thank you anyone who helped make our first season go so well and we are excited for another year.

Skagit River Produce

Hey, Skagit River Produce is a local foods and stuff shop. We are located just north of Seattle in Conway, WA. Our goal is to spotlight locally produced goods. Summer harvest is well on its way. Its been an interesting growing season but there are plenty of great options now. Beautiful zucchinni for $1 each, great stuffers or bread zukes, as well as some nice smaller ones. Great peaches, apples, pears, plums, and plouts are in season. Veggies galore. Local sheep, beef, pork, salmon, oysters and chicken. Local salmon seasons are heating up, crab are coming back on and oysters are going strong.
Our inhouse commercial kitchen puts out beautiful pies, potato & veggie salads, chowders, pies whole or sliced alamode, baked goodies, and so much more. We have an extremely talented group of cooks who work with the seasons harvests of seafood, meats, fruit, and veggies.
We have sauces, popcorn, chocolates, chips, soaps, flour, nuts, jams, and more. If you know of any great local producers please stop in and let us know you would like to see them carried. We are still seeking more items to fill out our grocery with locally responsibly produced goods.
We are want to spend our money locally. We know most of the farmers and producers personally and know they spend alot of their money locally and so on. It makes a huge difference when it's supported. We also know these people are being respectful of their environment and community, our environment and community. It makes a huge difference when it's supported.
Thanx,
Tory
